The online editor's Tag Generator helps you create special data fields (called tags) that are automatically filled with information using bots.
Tags created using the Tag Generator will appear in PDF documents as read-only fields, meaning the data will be displayed but cannot be changed by users.
1. In the online editor, go to the Tags tab to open the Tag Generator.
2. In the Generator section, choose a tag type:
Insert text (add a text field)
Insert table (create a table)
List (add a list of items)
Add conditional logic (show or hide content based on conditions)
Insert image (add an image field)
Name your field using only letters and numbers without any special characters.
Next, choose the format for your tag, such as Text, Date, DateTime, Number, or Currency.
3. Once finished, a tag will be automatically generated according to your selections.
To add the generated tag to your document, click where you want the tag to go and select Insert tag.
Select Copy tag to copy the generated tag. You can paste it using Ctrl+V (or Command+V for macOS) in the current document or any other DOCX template.
