Use workflow integration to create an integration user whose name will be used to run airSlate workflows directly from MS Dynamics 365.
1. Start by connecting the airSlate account of the user you’ll use to run workflows automatically. To do this, in Admin tools go to the Settings tab and click Setup credentials.
Note: To make the integration work properly, ensure that you have the correct workspace connected. You can check it in the Workspace tab.
Enter the email and password of the integration user.
Note: The user must be either a Workspace Owner or a Supervisor, that is have the rights to create workflows.
2. Next, go to MS Dynamics 365 and set up a new process. Click on the gear button and select Advanced Settings.
On the following page, go to Settings > Processes.
Click +NEW to create a new process.
3. In the pop-up, enter the name of the process. In the Category field, select Workflow. In the Entity field, select the entity for which the process will be working. When finished, click OK to start setting up the process.
4. In the Options for Automatic Processes block, review the scope of the entity you’ll be working with and the trigger that will run the airSlate workflow.
Set up the first step of your process by clicking Add step > airSlate > Run airSlate workflow.
Then, click Set Properties.
5. In the new window, provide the workflow ID and Record URL you’re going to use. Copy the workflow ID you need from the Workflows tab in Admin tools by clicking on it.
Paste the workflow ID in the respective field.
Take the Record URL from the Form assistant on the right. In the Look for dropdown menu, find the entity that will act as the trigger for the workflow’s creation (in our example, it’s Account).
Click on the dropdown below and select Record URL (Dynamics). Then, click Add.
The added field will appear in the box below. After that, click on the Record URL field to activate it (otherwise, the value won’t be pre-filled). Then click on Record URL (Dynamics) in the box, and then click OK.
As a result, the selected value will appear in the field. Now, click Save and Close.
6. The process is now set up, but not yet activated. Activate it by clicking the Activate button at the top of the setup page.
Now, the airSlate workflow that you’ve indicated in the process will be run as soon as the action that triggers it occurs. It will be launched under the name of the integration user you have added in the first step.
