To install altaFlow in your Salesforce organization, you must have Admin permissions. The installation is completely free, so you can test whether altaFlow fits your needs at no cost. Install the package
1. Follow this link to find altaFlow for Salesforce or go to AppExchange and search for altaFlow, then select the app from the list.
3. To install altaFlow for Salesforce in your Production environment, click Get it now. You won't be billed for installation or activation. The price shown on the app listing is for the paid plan.
Tip: You can install altaFlow for Salesforce in your Production environment to start automating your current processes right away, or in the Sandbox to test it using sample data. It works in both Salesforce Classic and Lightning. |
4. Next, you'll be prompted to log in to your Trailblazer account. Click Log In to continue.
5. Select Salesforce as your login method, then enter your username and password to sign in to the organization where altaFlow will be installed.
6. Click Allow so altaFlow can use your data for process automation. We never have direct access to your data, and all data is protected with encryption.
7. Salesforce will ask you to enter a verification code. They will send it to the email address linked to your account.
8. Choose where to install the package. Select your connected Salesforce account and install altaFlow in your production environment, which is the organization where you and your users work. Then click Install in Production to continue.
9. Review the installation details for altaFlow, including the package version, subscription type, and the Salesforce organization where it will be installed. Check the profile information that will be shared, accept the terms and conditions, and then click Confirm and Install to continue.
10. You will be redirected to the Salesforce login page. Enter your username and password, then click Log In.
11. Choose who should have access to altaFlow in your Salesforce organization. Select Install for All Users to make the app available to everyone in your organization, then click Install to continue.
12. Salesforce will ask you to approve third-party access. Review the listed websites, select Yes, grant access to these third-party websites, and click Continue to proceed.
13. The installation process will start. It may take a few minutes to complete, so please wait while Salesforce installs altaFlow and applies access settings.
14. You will receive an email once the installation is complete, but the email may arrive with a delay. Click Done to continue. You will be redirected to Installed packages.
15. In Installed Packages, you will see altaFlow listed under the publisher airSlate, with the package status shown as Active. This confirms that the app has been installed successfully.

Configure altaFlow for Salesforce
1. Go to the App Launcher in Salesforce and select altaFlow Admin Tools.
2. In altaFlow Admin Tools, complete the required security configuration by following these steps:
3. Go to Manage Connected Apps. You can also find it by searching in Setup.
4. Find the connected app named JWT Metadata API Auth Provider and click it.
5. At the top, click Edit Policies.
6. In the OAuth Policies section, make sure Admin approved users are pre-authorized is selected in the dropdown menu under Permitted Users, then click Save at the bottom.
7. After clicking Save, a confirmation window appears. It warns that all current app users will be granted access. Click OK to confirm and apply the changes.
8. Scroll down to the Profiles section, click Manage Profiles.
9. Add the profiles that will use the package, then click Save.
10. Go to Remote Site Settings. You can also find it by searching in Setup.
Make sure the entries named SALESFORCE LOGIN and SALESFORCE LOGIN STAGE are marked as Active. If any of them is inactive, click Edit, select the Active checkbox, and click Save.
11. Reload the altaFlow Admin Tools page.
12. After completing the configuration steps, the altaFlow setup screen opens.
Congratulations, you have successfully installed altaFlow.
Access your workspace
After installing the app, the next step is to access your altaFlow workspace. A workspace is your main environment in altaFlow where you create and manage automated workflows for your business processes. This is also where you manage teammates, templates, and overall workflow settings.
If you've already created a workspace at altaflow.com, simply sign in with your existing credentials. If not, you will be guided to create a new workspace during this setup.
To create a workspace using the Setup Wizard:
1. On the welcome screen, enter your email and create a password. Click Sign up and save to register your altaFlow account.
2. You will see a message asking you to confirm your email. Open the email from altaFlow, copy the verification code, return to the setup screen, and enter the code to verify your account.
3. After verification, you will be prompted to create a workspace. Since this is a new account, there are no workspaces yet, so click Create to continue.
4. Enter your workspace URL. This will be your company's unique altaFlow address and cannot be changed later, so choose it carefully. After that, provide the basic company information required to set up the workspace and click Save and continue.
5. Select the Salesforce users who should have access to altaFlow. Check the box next to each name, then click Activate teammates.
6. Your workspace is ready. You can start creating workflows, set up integrations, or explore the dashboard.
