Handle "Can’t run workflow" error message in Salesforce

Fix altaFlow workflow errors in Salesforce Experience Cloud. Learn how to update Button sharing settings to Public Read Only and restore user access.

Error reason: This error occurs only for Salesforce Experience Cloud users when they attempt to run a workflow but lack access to the custom button or components in the altaFlow WorkFlow App.

It is caused by restricted sharing settings on the altaFlow Button custom object, preventing visibility to external users.

Solution

1.Go to Setup in Salesforce.

2.Search for Sharing Settings.

3.Click Edit.

4.Find the object: altaFlow Button and set the Default External Access option to Public Read Only. Click Save.
