Handle the "Attachments folder doesn't exist or was deleted" error in Export to NetSuite bot

Resolve the Attachments folder configuration in the altaFlow App Settings record when running the Export to NetSuite bot.

Updated yesterday

Issue

When running the Export to NetSuite bot, the user receives the error message: "Export failed because the attachments folder doesn't exist or was deleted. Update the folder path in altaFlow for NetSuite settings, or contact your administrator."

Reason

This error occurs because the Attachments folder field in the airSlate - App Settings record in NetSuite points to a folder that has been deleted, renamed, moved, or is nested inside another folder.

This field defines the File Cabinet folder where altaFlow bots physically store exported files. By default it is set to -10, which points to a built-in folder used by the bundle. If that folder, or a custom folder assigned later, becomes invalid, the export fails.

Solution

A NetSuite Administrator must set the Attachments folder field to the internal ID of a valid top-level folder in File Cabinet.

1. In NetSuite, go to Documents > Files > File Cabinet. Create or open the folder for altaFlow attachments. The folder must be at the top level β€” nested folders are not supported. Copy the folder's internal ID from the URL (the number after id=).

2. Go to Customization > Lists, Records & Fields > Record Types. Find airSlate - App Settings and click List in the row next to it.

3. Open the setting record by clicking Edit.

4.Paste the folder ID into the Attachments folder field and click Save.

5. Re-run the Export to NetSuite bot.
