With a custom domain, your altaFlow workspace uses your company's own web address. Signing links sent from your organization will use your company's web address instead of the default altaFlow URL.
documents.yourcorp.com/AbCd321
This helps in two ways.
First, your workspace feels more like part of your company. It uses your domain, your brand, and a more consistent experience for everyone who interacts with your documents.
Second, recipients see a familiar domain when they open a document to sign. Instead of a default altaFlow URL, they see a link connected to your organization, which helps build trust before they take action.
Note: Setup is handled by the altaFlow support team and takes 1–2 business days after all required information is submitted.
How it works on our side
Once your request is received and verified, the altaFlow team takes care of the technical configuration:
We register your subdomain in our infrastructure and automatically issue an SSL/TLS certificate. You don't need to manage certificates.
We configure your workspace to generate all new signing links using your custom domain.
We turn on the feature for your workspace. After that, signing links will use your domain instead of the default altaFlow URL.
Note: Links sent via SMS are shortened with altaFlow's URL shortener, so your custom domain won't appear in the message. After the link is opened, the signing session will use your custom domain. Other signing links will show your custom domain once it's active.
What to prepare before contacting support
Step 1: Choose your subdomain
Decide which subdomain you want to use. It must be a subdomain of a domain your company owns and controls. Root domains (e.g., yourcorp.com) aren’t supported.
Examples: documents.yourcorp.com, sign.yourcorp.com, esign.yourcorp.com
The custom domain can only be assigned to one workspace. If your company has multiple workspaces in altaFlow, you can assign a separate subdomain to each one:
Subdomain | Workspace |
| Main workspace |
| HR workspace |
| Sales workspace |
Step 2: Submit a request to support
Send a request to [email protected] or reach out to your Account Manager with:
The full subdomain you want to use (e.g., sign.yourcorp.com)
Your workspace name in altaFlow
Our support team will send you the exact DNS records to add to your domain settings.
Step 3: Add the DNS records
Once you receive our reply, log in to your DNS provider and create the following records:
Type | Name / Host | Value / Points to |
CNAME | fallback.altaflow.com
TXT | provided by support
TXT | provided by support |
Note: If an existing A, AAAA, or CNAME record already exists for the same subdomain, remove it first. Conflicting records will block the setup.
Step 4: Let us know
After you add all three records, reply to the support thread so we can complete the setup.
After setup
We'll notify you when your custom domain is live. From that moment:
All new signing links will use your custom domain
Links created before the feature is turned on will still work, but they'll keep using the default altaFlow URL
Your audit trail shows when the feature was turned on or off
To request changes or turn the custom domain off, go to My workspace > Custom domain and click Contact Support.
This feature is currently available at no additional cost. As we continue to develop it, we may introduce separate pricing in the future. We'll notify you before any changes take effect.
